First and foremost, a huge "Thank You" to our supporters and volunteers who have joined our efforts and vision of having an off-leash dog park to visit in the City of Canton!

We hope you are all enjoying the temporary dog park at Big Springs United Methodist Church, located at 2066 Sugar Pike Road in Woodstock.

We are excited to see how beneficial the temporary dog park has been for the surrounding communities, and we continue to express our gratitude to the church for graciously allowing families and their dogs to enjoy the grounds at the church.

Over the past year, Canton Paw Park and its supporters have been working toward the shared goal of creating a permanent dog park for the community, utilizing the available land behind Canton Mill Loft Apartments. Recently, it has come to our attention that due to the flood plain status of this land, it can never be fenced in. While an off-leash dog park could still be enjoyed without many extras, fencing is a necessity!

So, we are enthusiastic to begin our efforts to secure another piece of land, offering between 1 and 3 acres in size. We are also very excited to have some great events planned this year as we continue to raise funds and awareness.

Our fundraising events will be held with the same initial goal in mind: to establish and maintain an off-leash dog park within the community.

While the location of the dog park will change, our goal has not!

Please continue to enjoy the temporary dog park at Big Springs United Methodist Church and keep checking our website for upcoming events.

See you at the park!
